Watercolor Pop Up at Durango Botanic Gardens For Ages 8 and Up Artist: Caroline Romano This pop-up's intention is to enjoy your time in the garden and to have some artistic fun. You will find a plant or flower to paint, take the time to look at the shapes of the leaves, note if it has blossoms or pollinators buzzing around, identify why you are drawn to this scene. From there, you will render it with help from artist Caroline Romano. Caroline will demonstrate techniques to paint some of the flowers in the garden with watercolor paints and watercolor pencils. Each participant will receive four postcard-sized pieces of watercolor paper to use. You’ll not only leave with a beautiful watercolor painting inspired by the plants in bloom but also with the skills to make your own artwork at home. All skill levels are welcomed, and supplies are included. Please meet at the library's north patio.
