In this five-day creative exploration with Ilze Aviks, students will learn how to apply color to fabric using pigments that are permanent and washable. We’ll experiment with printing, painting, stamping, and collaging on cloth using simple techniques that can easily be done at home. A touch of hand-stitching will bring each piece together and add a personal finishing detail. Along the way, we’ll also talk about creative ways to repurpose old clothing, scarves, and thrift-shop finds. Bring your imagination — and be ready to have FUN!
